I tested only with fully automatic and 90% landscapes. Firstly, I am a layman and the other was important to me, especially that the camera traveling achieved quickly and without a lot of good pictures settings. Video I did not test, because not really important to me.
The images I have ever shot at the same time from the same location to make a real comparison.
The Sony had the Canon models for me by far the best pictures!
Least enjoyed the SX60HS that I had bought first. The SX50 was of the BQ then something better. But again, I would have decided to end m against the purchase.
The Panasonic FZ200 I found in the BQ also very good. But in low light conditions, ie in overcast and cloudy weather has also always clear that Sony delivered the better picture.
When the sun shines, the two cameras were often identified by the results, but again, the Sony had the nose at the end of the beginning.
In interiors, the Sony clearly has always achieved the better results for me. Here I found the difference even on the most serious.
When zooming the images of Sony were getting better in spite of the high-aperture objective of Panasonic auchbis with very few exceptions.
What would have absolutely loved in the Lumix, is the accompanying book that I had also ordered. Thus one has the camera very fast under control and gets a lot of help and hints.
From the menu I found Canon and Panasonic (which of course is also related to the book) the easiest.
The menu of the Sony is something nested in my opinion. The complete manual of Sony Europe but still not a problem.
From the feel and operation of buttons I found Canon SX60 and Sony best. The SX50 has my least favorite here.
I have clearly decided at the end of the HX400V, because I can get the best images on the fly and with little experience here. Targeted pictures with your own settings, I can now gradually develop me.
I hope I have the one or the other fully automatic user hereby give a little help.
