Before the Sun Comes Up (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The second album by John David Kent brings a new image (gone is the long-haired cowboy from the cover of the first album), which is reflected in the photo on the CD cover: Looking through the open window of a red Chevy, where the pretty female passenger relaxes bare legs in the wind stretches and JDK in the background, glowing with us on a lost road while probably blowing his music through the speakers.
His slightly rough voice fits perfectly with the vibrant guitar sound that makes the album a real "blessing for ears." To be discreet, yet rock punchy without loud, but also without losing itself in ballads, which can not really be found on the album, it's about "the summer sun and the wind in your hair," the first car, the last song the bar, the drink too much at the pickup and of course the eternal game of love.
Commercial hardly known, John David Kent delivers an album that's really fun, especially when it comes to good music and less about specific musical styles that blend skillfully blends. Hopefully we hear more from him in the future.
