I have long wrestled with me and read countless tests, recessions and postings. 5 months ago I decided to give the Bigma a chance. First of all: Now I love this lens. I run it on a Nikon D7100 and am very much in the fields and forests on the way. My motives are songbirds, mammals and butterflies and dragonflies. All this must be taken with the lens in daylight very well staged. Again and again I read, there were restrictions on the Focus on the long end. My copy is absolutely sharp and throughout the entire zoom range. A trump card is the magnification of 1: 3.1 can be photographed by the shy insect almost in macro quality. A 36mm intermediate ring with transmission of exposure and autofocus ensures now even greater standards (but then necessarily on the tripod because the light intensity decreases). Permanently excited I was after a weekend seminar with 8 other nature photographers. Up to 600mm Nikon for 7000 - was represented everything. In the end even the owner of the giant bag could see no difference in the resulting images. Due to the higher light intensity, however, could go half an hour earlier in Ansitzhäußchen to work. And if a larger bird appeared at the feeding station I heard beside me a slight cursing because the subject was too big for the focal length, while I used my zoom and was able to choose the perfect cut. Who is more in the nature of the road will have fun with this lens. And the weight can be a Sunsniper strap (the 5kg variant!) Distribute very well. Had I not already Bigma, I would buy it immediately.
