At this point, it was apparently not yet possible to collaborate again with Rob Halford, after being parted mid-1990s.
Both sides tried in new metal sounds, but what went horribly wrong. The fans did not want to hear that, because they are mostly conservative musically, but quite frankly it was mostly crap what Halford or Priest published since then. Priest not deviated from the metal, but disappointed with the supposedly modernized, harder sound on Jagulator and Demolition (2001), despite the started with premature praise singer nine "Ripper" Owen (Ex-Wintersbane).
The first crack in 2000. Rob Halford, the control with this album around. Finally a CD in the classical metal style after he had really partially published unspeakable things. Songs with great melodies characterize the disc.
Resurrection, Made in Hell, Nightfall, Silent Scream, Slow Down, Temptation - I could list all the pieces. Songs that we will probably never see live, but they have all been good Judas Priest to face. But the songs fundus of the reunited priests is so big enough for extended Metal evenings.
Halford made here a great solo album, although not all have the hardness of Pries tables century plant "Painkiller", but would as his successor for Judas Priest more than just good gone through without being dangerous to run, ripped by the critics.
The work was produced by Roy Z, incidentally, who also as a musician and producer at several solo discs of Bruce Dickenson participates (e).
Unrestricted Recommendation in the category of traditional Metal.
