The best album in the band's history of MH?

The Blackening (CD + DVD) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

So far, DEFINITELY!

I think the problem is simply that every album of MH is equal compared with Burn My Eyes, as it was then something new and so many people responded. Any form of development is criticized and any form of a new style of discovery is so labeled as weakening or Gesülze!

This is not only in Machine Head so, but in almost all bands that the debut was the best, and not the other rankommen albums for a further development of the debut.

In many albums the advancement often is really negative.

That some buyers of this album, the development of MH (which is considerable in this album) I can perceive as negative not personally nachenpfinden. Just music, the band has improved and restive at The Blackening they have reached a climax. This playfulness and this variety, which is boring in any of the 8 songs, you're looking at a lot of artists and their albums, unfortunately in vain (even with really old and well-known in the metal scene bands)!

If you listen to the album you notice that MH has now found as a band and they now follow a unique course, which was already visible at TTAOE and now finds its perfection in The Blackening.

Can Rob Flynn not sing clean? Does the guitar always be rough and must not be melodious? Just because they have become more melody, does not mean the still long that they are effeminate.

Just as the variety of melodic parts and rough Thrash parts make this album. By melodic parts the rough parts are also highlighted better and get well in my opinion even harder over.

And if the people here anyway no solos like on the solos of both guitarists upset I wonder whether we should take these criticisms seriously. And who says that can play both no solos who in my opinion, bad ears.

A solo will fit the music. That Flynn and Demel is hinbrettern no solos ala Dragonforce clear because it does not fit into their music. And that's what makes for good musicians that they play their music fits the simple and not everyone in each piece shows what he can do. This is then left to bands like Dream Theater.

When Flynn and Demel would just play fast solos, they would certainly open to criticism that they are doing just about speed, etc.!

Just as they play it on this album it fits perfectly!

Each piece in itself is for me a pleasure and in my opinion there is no point to single out a song and evaluate separately because each song is unique, yet fits perfectly into the scheme of the album!

As I said, for me it's the best album so far MH and already a landmark in the Rock / Metal history.
