Rebel Heart (Limited Super Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

First the good news: The worst thing about this album is its title. One really wonders what the Queen of Pop has ridden since. Rebel Heart? So now appoint not even unimaginative pubescent school bands or particularly progressive ESC candidates their albums. And then just Madonna?

The greater the musical surprise. Rebel Heart is everything one does not trust his title: relaxing, low-key, danceable, perfect in form, engaging, varied, unpeinlich, trustful and highly modern. Daring hypothesis: Your thirteenth album is probably the most coherent output since Madonna Music.

So progressively put the dance sound of the last Madonna albums sounded so warm, honest and compelling sounds Rebel Heart. The 56-year-old panting it is no longer the trend afterwards, but is again perfectly adequate in pop here and now. Madonna has always done Pop on the amount of time, because it has always worked with the right people together. Sometimes it sounded as though up to date, that they themselves did not fit it. Not this time. At her side stood in the studio, the producer who just take the pulse of the times: Kanye West, Diplo, Avicii. The cameos from rapper Nas, singer Nicki Minaj and boxer Mike Tyson Peanuts are against - and the woman at the top despite all influences the undisputed superstar.

Madonna has let tailored to the body of a sound costume this time fits like a glove: danceable electropop as Unapologetic Bitch, of the MIA certainly would be thrilled conversion rich hits like Devil Pray that does not have to choose between acoustic guitar and oriental beats or perfectly shaped ballads as the title track, that could be beautifully proclaimed melancholy summer hit in 2015. That does not sound like a unified whole, the versatility of a Madonna is but quite adequate. Warmly recommended is the inclined buyer at this point, at least the 23 songs (+ remixes 2) comprehensive Deluxe version to purchase, since three of the best songs are just waiting to be found.

Now we come to the bad news: the lyrics. Surely a woman like Madonna interesting stories and views have to tell the Oh My God / You're so hot. Would she sing their lyrics in another language, one would hear this album even better. Which brings us to the words again. But they are, as I have already mentioned at the beginning, after all, the only flaw of this otherwise very successful over rebellious heart.

Playing tips: Living For Love, Devil Pray, Unapologetic B * tch, Body Shop, Holy Water
