Whether you (please include without cotton shirt) or even carries the part as a t-shirt as an undershirt: the fine merino wool (150 g / m2) is unsurpassed pleasant and comfortable to the skin. I wear it for running, Nordic walking, on mountain tours and skiing and I can confirm from my own experience: - I sweat in it no more than a cotton T-shirt (rather even a little less) - Even if I strongly sweating (. Eg under the backpack or when skiing) will be warm - no chill or freeze more - The material dries much faster than cotton, both the body and after washing - Even after a strenuous and sweaty hike the next day no little sweat odor determine - Easy to clean by machine wash (30 to 40 degrees, wool program, wool detergent) - May, but need not be ironed
Conclusion: I'm going to gradually replace all my BW vests by those made of merino wool. The gain in comfort is the price for me worth.
