Set Up:
The set up is not a problem. The Navi is almost ready to go. About the PC for updates. The connection to the PC is no problem, you should be here just follow the Quick Start Guide. If an outdated map on the device, you get a new unique. The cards, however, are extremely large. The download and installation process took me almost 2.5 hours.
In use:
The TomTom gets its traffic data via the TomTom own "HD Traffic" service. To this end, the device has a built-in SIM card. So the data coming over the air to your device. Two years is included, and then more years want to be paid. In my trips to the HD Traffic data turned out to be very reliable. Also congestion on roads are included. So the Navi has a lot more information for route planning available as a Navi, which can only use TMC. Annoying is the fact that TomTom Map Share corrections are not finding their way via mobile phone to the navigation system. One has but reconnect to the PC for route planning, the device so if you want to have the latest fixes from the TomTom community. In this way the Navi pointed out to me after a few missions and not right at the beginning. Just stupid, that I am wrong in front of this notice through a city full of construction sites and have quite annoyed by the Navi because it did not know this, partly for a very long existing sites and the resulting dead ends. But that was the only point at which I was disappointed with the device. Local Google Search is also a nice thing when you go want to find a gas station, pharmacy or the next snack.
Conclusion:
The TomTom GO LIVE 1015 is a very good Navi undoubtedly. HD Traffic is a fine thing, however, costs of service after the first two years an annual fee. Not extended to that Navi is to improve road map, because it does not receive more traffic information. One should therefore check before purchasing on the follow-up costs after 2 years or schedule a new Navi. Other Live services such as Google Local Search, are nice, but a web-enabled mobile phone can also. So who is willing to pay for the latest traffic information, is well served by the Navi. I would therefore recommend probably more people who travel very often. Here the Navi can save time and hassle. But for the trip to the resort or the occasional visit to the relationship it also does a simple device without HD Traffic.
Overall, however, it remains simply the best Navi that I've used and thus there is also the full five stars.
