Reign in Blood (Audio CD)

Customer Review

With Slayer that's such a thing, especially as life-performances and yet often concerns more than questionable statements and public appearances.
But when I came in Blood CD recently about the Reign, I konnnte otherwise than to order them without a second thought.
Have enticed me a nostalgic mood and transfigured memories of bygone days of youth to buy? Yes certainly, but this album was many years ago up until exitus on my conditioning and my walkman and down.
When the CD was then a short time later in the mailbox, me my first road led to the plant, but his wife and child were just not at home. As then penetrated the first chords of "Angel of Death" of the 3-way speakers, it was clear that there was no error was absolutely to order the CD after years of abstinence-Slayer. Yes I had about 30 minutes a hell fun before then faded the last chords of "Criminally Insane"! My neighbor by the way also .... :-)
And no it is not Andes transfigured memories of my youth, much more provide the guys from Slayer Reign in Blood with just twelve continuously moving in the neck Trash grenades.
Yes certainly since 1986 kammen a lot of harder and faster Trash albums on the market, and I hardly dare to say to today's thrash metal seems almost tame but that "Reign in Blood", that's the attraction of the disc is still out. Each of the 12 songs already after the first run, a recognition, the song is clear though is anything but lovely, and does not exist as usual today mostly only from distorted growls. And, as already indicated careful I do not belong necessarily to the whisper listeners, while many newer discs then something flat and sleep out sound from the speakers, you get in Reign in Blood on the contrary, a downright geschallert!
At last for a long time my Dali boxes were called again and were allowed to play out their potential, whether at the still merciless even by today's standards double bass attacks of Dave Lombardo or the velvety rich bass carpet of Tom Araya.
And no this fat sound is less due to the musical talents of Slayer, but rather the fact that you have probably resorted during the mixing of the CD on the original recordings from 1986 and as far as quietly waived has to convert these MP3 justice.
As has been said above applies to each of the 12 tracks on the album, I'm saving it for me then to individual songs in specific to address.

Conclusion: "Reign in Blood" will probably remain in my collection the only Slayer CD, which is partly the fact that I was never really a Slayer fan and other hand because of it that the gentlemen have since "Seasons of the Abyss" really degraded hard thing the musical qualities are concerned.
But Reign in Blood's just fun and is an absolute must for all fans of the harder variety, it impresses not only with a quite a good production, but also leads vividly the hardness makes rather than just brutal thrashing and Geschrabbel. Therefore full purchase recommendation, also and especially for those who have so far dealt only with the newer Outputs of this genre.
