Underwater Sunlight (Audio CD)

Customer Review

"Underwater Sunlight" is one of the best Tangerine Dream albums ever for me. The plate includes everything that makes this brilliant band: slow dreamy synthesizer pieces, as well as faster pop pieces. The first piece, the two-piece "Song of the Whale" is the highlight of the CD: rippling synth sounds, crystal clear guitar solos and the beginning of the second part a very nice piano intro, played by Paul Haslinger. Next it's off to the next two pieces, "Dolphin Dance" and "Ride On The Ray", two timeless pop songs, also again with gorgeous guitar sounds and rhythms almost danceable. The last two pieces leave the CD back end a little slower, but are just as fascinating as the others. You can tell this board the playfulness formally. For the first time here with Paul Haslinger case, the Johannes Schmoeling replaced and the fresh air brought into the band. "Underwater Sunlight" is not just for TD fans, but for all who appreciate the sophisticated '80s pop music.
