Hi, I'm running now since 1984 Marathon, since 1988 ultra long-range, with 8-10 race per year is there already met what. And I've probably already read a few dozen books run through it, some better, some less great. No book has been so fascinated me as "Eat and run", and I know God is not vegan. But the way Scott Jurek writes, draws the reader into the spell as if it were even there. Scott has the 100 Miles Western States won 7 times in a row, while the thoughts and feelings that are taking place in the head of an extreme runner, almost 100% identical with that which feels a runner of the last 10%. The book consists of 22 chapters, at the end of each chapter there are short and concise tips for ultra runners (and not only for), and a recipe to try at home. Both I loved, especially since I just experimenting with "Green Smoothies", and a significant increase in performance feel (I am 53 and just starting to specialize to 100 mile race and more distance races after I 25 years at shorter distances (up to 100 km) was on the way. The most fascinating part of the book for me was the total human and emotionally close vision that Scott gives us. Nowhere he is arrogant, know-it, on the contrary. You can feel what he feels, and everything turns out after nearly 20 years on the ultra long-range as a life that just as "normal" in many areas like any other. You can tell I'm very intrigued by the book, so it should be, if you want I can be happy at [email protected] in Facebook or cover letter directly, maybe you can meet, at the Swiss Alpine, the 108 km of Luxembourg or the 235 km through Cambodia this fall. Have fun reading, the Wolfgang
