Rigorous portable drive. The housing exudes quality and strength. It's reassuring!
Comes with two USB cables right section (the word "cable" nétant not usurped, since the thickness of the two widgets): a micro-mini-minus handy ironically incorporated into the housing and another of about 70 cm, which changes us tips anorexic strings 15cm usually come with this kind of product.
Good transmission rates for the 2.5, but less than a 3.5 drive. Normal. (Allow between 65 and 85 MB / sec for large files or BR DVD standard disk transferring from PC to mobile HDD via USB 3.0 port. Significantly less for very small bulk transferred files.)
Significantly larger than a standard laptop HDD; but hey, this is the 2 Tb and lantichoc! That said, I have not taken the risk of swinging to the ground from a height of twenty meters or run over with a tank dassaut
Beware, if you intend to lassocier one or two other self-powered version 2.5 on a 3.0 hub, itself devoid dune dedicated power supply, you may encounter problems during transfers (eg. The transferred files that appear corrupt or the disc itself that would present bad sectors). This is not the HDD is at issue, but the hub that does not lalimenter correctly.
The solution, this is, either directly plug the drive into a PC USB port; or replace the hub with a dedicated power supply model; or disconnect other self-powered hub of original discs. (If the transferred files have been corrupted and are not erasable, click right on the drive letter => properties => Tools => Error Checking. This should be enough to remedy the situation.)
Similarly, if you repartition the HDD or proceed to its full format, do it by connecting directly to a PC port.
In short: great product.
