From a purely technical training, translation of certain types of texts (press releases, etc.) scared me. With "the Meertens" I could broaden my areas of competence and enrich my knowledge. On the other hand, exiled in the UK, some concepts in English heard in the media hardly come to me in French when I communicate with family, friends and clients. Again "the Meertens" allows me to avoid horrible layers that would frown at my interlocutors. A book that I love and use as I sometimes wonder how I could get it before you buy it! A big thank you to the person taking the trouble to compile this book so practical, so indispensable. Only small downside (but really, I nitpick!): Small computer terms.
