I've got my e260 now for a week and am completely satisfied with it. The device immediately convinces with its very good display and the sound quality. The music you play easily on the Windows Media Player on the device. Those who prefer playing on the music files with Windows Explorer, which can also do. Because there are two USB modes. So with the music it works easily. Less good is the dubbing of photos and especially videos. This one has namely using the supplied "Sansa Media Converter" upload to the device. This works with pictures also just fine. Videos, however, be divided into small parts. So a 90-minute film is quickly split times in about 10 parts, the size also increases. My film was subsequently almost 1 GB (!) Large (previously 500 MB). These problems could however correct with a firmware update. Furthermore, the battery can be replaced. Exemplary. In addition, the player is small and lightweight. The design convinces. The rotary wheel impresses with its simple operation; but fills up at unfortunately somewhat spongy. The keys are SanDisk unfortunately failed; incorporated in it too deeply and have no noticeable pressure point. Unfortunately, the European model, in contrast to the American version, no radio was installed; Unfortunately there is no hardware to the player. In summary:
Pro:
- Good display
- Good sound quality
- Good design
- Small
- Good control dial
- Long battery life
- Memory card slot
- Recording
- Battery replaceable
- Compatible with Musikabos because PlaysForSure suitable
Contraindications:
- Keys have no pressure point
To convert photos and videos only with software -
- No radio (in the EU-Version)
- Rotating wheel spongy
My Conclusion:
The Sansa e260 has its strengths, but unfortunately also its weaknesses. Nevertheless, the player knows how to convince. The intuitive operating concept is a good thing. Not to mention the excellent display and good sound quality. Unfortunately, photos and video can only be converted with the software. But if they are on the first player makes the Sansa lot of fun.
