Unpacking and touch: (5 Stars)
The packaging is designed quite minimalist, except for the device name and specifications you will find nothing. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB in Perl White.
After opening the box, I thought to myself just Wow, that's really a Galaxy ?.
The design blew me away. Since my iPhone 6 without protective sheath often slip out of his hand, I tested to only as it is in the hands.
Due to the rounded display and the glass back, the Galaxy Edge is just perfect in the hand. It does not slip, it is comfortable to hold and just feels great!
For Design: Samsung has surpassed everything with this smartphone so far. The interplay of glass and metal is just perfect. Nothing is inappropriate.
The back and the white border around the screen is covered with a kind of coating, if one considers it in the sun shines, the glass like a pearl (as the name of the color, it implies).
Unfortunately I could not use it immediately, as the battery has been completely discharged.
Samsung Smart Switch: (4 stars)
At first I wanted to copy certain data (contacts, photos, text messages, calendar entries from my iPhone to the new Galaxy, just how?
For Samsung offers the Smart Switch App. Thus, the data can even from an iPhone! transferred to the Galaxy. Synchronizing was fast, but this app is twice crashed. To transfer the data I have the SmartSwitch app used for MacOS Yosemite.
Camera: (5 star ++++)
Now I come to the point that has excited me most, the camera!
Such pictures I have shot so far to any other smartphone. The front camera has 16 megapixels and makes grandiose photos, the photos are perfect in color and detail, so I asked a friend Have photos edited with Photoshop ?. Even at dusk and very low light is barely visible to no noise.
The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels and also makes beautiful photos, the automatic retouching (BeautyFace) and gesture control (Palm Selfie) I really liked, saves the editing on the PC and thanks to the Palm Selfie are no blurred images more.
What I also really liked the quick start the camera, for that you have the home button press twice and already the camera is there, very practical needs wenns go fast times. Here I could unfortunately not make a comparison, because my iPhone has no camera quick launch function.
What I really liked over my iPhone 6 are the pictures at night. The Galaxy S6 Edge turned to focus on the flash and shoot only the perfect photo. On the iPhone it was very cumbersome to obtain a sharp image, because you have to focus in the dark.
The camera detects faces and automatically even when moving the faces are automatically tracked and focused. This also caused great pictures.
Display and performance: (5 Stars)
The Quad HD Super AMOLED display is fun! The colors are gorgeous, see Youtube videos even in bright still fabulous. The display is in Youtube videos from a super sharp picture. Just as we know it from Ultra HD TVs.
The side screen is a bit strange. The VIP contacts are a nice touch, each person receives a VIP own color. If you have a mobile phone lying on the display, you can see the page display the specific color light up when that person calls, take the phone in your hand you can see information about the caller.
The Night Watch is also handy if you have the phone on his dessert. The InfoStream is not bad, I will personally but probably more likely to use less.
I like best the VIP function and personalized alerts.
What has for me also really liked the pre-installed app Smart Manager. This app indicates how long the battery will last at current use and which apps have the highest battery consumption. You can optimize the memory in which you delete unnecessary files and AppCache. The app determines to which the active application consumes most RAM.
Now to the performance because I received the phone with 0% battery, I could directly test the quick charge function, in fact, the mobile phone recharges fairly quickly, accordingly speak I did not have to wait long for the first use. When the device was set ready, I first installed my all Apps which I need every day. Already at this stage, I noticed how fast Turbo operates the mobile phone. I have found no single stuttering in the entire service. The mobile phone was fully charged after about an hour.
I noticed that the battery has been relatively quickly at the beginning. That has to charge 4 times improved massively. The battery lasts for regular use throughout the day, I'm going to just after midnight with 30% into bed and start the day early in the morning with fresh 100%.
The fingerprint reader works with no ifs and buts, it is not even happened that my finger was not recognized. It's great that you no longer have to emphasize on the button your finger. Is to unlock the S6 Edge of fingerprint or a security code needed. The iPhone, however, can be easily cracked where you enter the 4-digit code.

There were still a few apps included: onedrive, OneNote, Skype.
With this phone I have tested for the first time OneDrive, the 100GB as gifts are awesome. This app I now use on other devices to synchronize pictures and notes, thank Samsung. OneNote I find also very tool, write important notes, which are then loaded into the cloud thanks OneDrive.

Is under heavy use quite warm
No removable battery and no memory expansion (does not bother me personally, because I do not need it and it does not know otherwise.)
Conclusion:
The Galaxy S6 Edge blew me away, it is for me by far the best smartphone on the market. The price is a bit steep, but in this case I can say, you get what you pay for. The mobile phone is definitely worth it!
I was the Galaxy S6 Edge convinced to change.
Therefore from me 5 stars for the whole package and a strong buy recommendation!
