1. The unit: The sound is great and the operation is simple for me newbie, Philips Go Gear gets 5 stars.
2. What is a shame that (as with all my Discman) not accompanied by a charger and this must be ordered separately - cumbersome, so a small part would have had space in the box. Who drags even the PC with you on holiday or want to turn it on every time when Go Gear needs juice ?! So charger get!
3. Now the software. Fortunately, I've read about it until after I bought the device (your own fault!). What other users here already wrote: Unreliable that the S .. shudder. Songbird is different every day mood and you would be well advised to check transmitted songs immediately after transmission. Meanwhile (after three days songs on PC game and carry Marathon) I came on it to open the player on the computer via Explorer, hit "Music", found there - juchz! - My songs and then copy and sort of as "C" to "F" - which does not always work and demand an investigation. As I said, "we" are quite moody and when I check immediately, dive some songs anywhere on unsorted and unknown, even though I previously named all behaved with artist and title. It's frustrating !!!
As for the safe ejection, somewhere left in Songbird all devices are angezeit, where you can (if program not previously stuck again) via the right mouse button to "eject" arrive. Or as usual through the workplace, which I've already with the data loss behind me. A program for researchers rather than for users - and for people with good nerves and a lot of patience.
But eventually I had worked through me and when it comes to the hearing, see item 1: The sound is for such a small device just stunningly good. The supplied headphones I do not like, either they fall out of your ears, or suck firmly what hurts. So I'll continue my "Bügelchen", also from Philips that I can hang on the ears ...
