Ginger, cloves, oranges. Rarely has such an intense aroma of these ingredients in the nose, after you open a bottle. The scent that is easily guessable before opening, flows directly through the whole room. A gorgeous golden color shines only during being poured, and all odors transferred actually then also on the mouth. Yes, the whole thing is extremely sweet, terribly sweet, I admit, but that sweetness carries ginger, cloves and citrus fruits as a litter. One can certainly pure drink, cooled, and guests will be surprised to look into the glass when they have served for dessert. But the main area of application is the mixology.
A cocktail where this Falernum works wonderfully, is the glorious body full "Port Antonio".
1 oz light rum (eg Botucal Añejo 4 years) 1/2 oz dark rum (eg Appleton Estate Extra 12 years) 1/2 oz lime juice 1/2 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlua, for example) 1/4 oz Golden Falernum
As with the other "large bottles" of Bitter Truth obtained here a fantastic product that is second to none, and with a discreet but effective presentation in an elegant bottle with lush designtem label.
As with all my reviews spirits is my intention: to drink no more, but better.
