The entry-level mixer for amateur sound engineer

I bought the Behringer XENYX 302USB to operate my Røde NT-1A thus can. The connection here is very simple, since there is only one XLR connector. The operation you have understood quickly. It has, after all, the possibility to adjust the bass and treble with a controller and the left and right audio channel. Furthermore, you have the volume and a dedicated controller for the microphone gain. Everything that is part of the XLR connector directly below this, which is part of the input for RCA is among the RCA connectors. When it comes to sorting and order so it could not be better.

Very handy, I find that it can be operated via USB power supply, as is also recognized on the same PC / Mac as a sound source, so you can record directly with eg Audacity. In terms of quality, the integrated sound card is excellent, because I hear no pops, clicks, hum, noise or the like. Recording with the Røde microphone is very clear and of such high quality as you would expect. Thus, the XENYX 302USB the NT-1A brake far from.

Solely the direct recording with the Zoom H1 on the headphone connection is not really berausschen because I have an incredibly strong noise there and the recording always overloaded although the Zoom H1 indicates no clipping. I have not tried it with the RCA ouput. However, a cell phone recorder is in this case anyway something unnecessary and recordings with Audacity are crystal clear!

Thanks to the RCA Input I can even play music than 1 soundtrack, so I 3 also can use a mobile phone Soundboard App in TeamSpeak. Although you have to pretty much change the regulator so that the sound is decent (one notices for example in music clearly), but is done, the use is no more obstacles.

On the subject find the right setting, so that everyone has to find for himself. Every voice is different and therefore it is necessary to optimize the XENYX just his voice. For me it was the best, as I have bass and treble 1 line placed further from the center. To each his own;)

Conclusion: For beginners or amateur YouTuber, -Podcaster or TeamSpeak 3 users the mixer is ideal. I can my Røde NT-1A operate it and even connect a second audio device. In addition, for me there is enough settings to use it in a meaningful way. Especially the extra headset connections are very convenient. In the end I give it 5 stars. Advanced or professionals will certainly not be satisfied with the terminals. But to the 302USB is not directed really well. So you have to grab just deeper into their pockets. You get what you pay for;)
