This book allows any regular reader of promoting reading to those who "do not really like to read." I have converted more than one! Douglas Kennedy is between John Irving, for its exciting and unusual slices of lives, and David Lodge by the way dissect society and flaking varnish that protects wise and tidy lives. Come increasingly added a very well controlled suspense that never falls flat. You just apply shorter nights or less busy days as it is very difficult to close this book. Only one desire: to see the film which will be adapted (since it seems the rights already purchased). (Thanks to Amazon, which, according to my previous purchases, suggested I read Douglas Kennedy.)
