I just got a tv hd 1080p. When connecting my PS2 with the original cables, the picture quality was pretty bad. I had heard of this component cable that allowed to get progressive scan in some games (thus a better quality). Well it works! The image is really better! And even on games that do not have this feature. By cons I noticed an increase in aliasing. But I much prefer that to the fuzzy and dull image I had initially.

In summary, if you have a TV compatible with this cable do not hesitate. It is more expensive than others available on the website but it is the official SONY.
