I bought and loved all Nintendo consoles from the NES, but the Wii U is a big disappointment. Especially the gamepad is a problem: it is heavy in the hand, is completely not ergonomic shaped, the action keys are not easily accessible and play after 1h hurts my hand, display a lack of contrast (in bright rooms difficult to detect) that is insensitive touch screen (you would have to press right). Now I have to pre-screen the exact same cramped posture taking the kids at the Gameboy play.
The concept of the second screen in your hand is not conclusive. Even Nintendo seems to have noticed that. In the game you sometimes can not continue because the need to be the next entry on the gamepad ge-touched; then please help to see now on the gamepad a notice on the screen.
The installation takes a long time (first battery of the gamepad invite you install new software, set up user accounts with Nintendo). Although one always seeks what then do the different user accounts at all on the website of Nintendo for help.
The Wii U also swallows discs with Wii games. However, the image quality of the old Wii games on the Wii U is significantly worse, not to mention really bad. So necessarily keep the old Wii!
But this one is a new problem. Taking an existing Wii Remote at the Wii U have to register them there. Must be paired and each time you change the same game using the Wii Remote Will you now back to the old Wii this again. Very annoying.
What hurts is a lack of new HD games. No new Zelda in sight, the new Mario can not even keep up with the Mario from N64 least now comes a seemingly dignified Mario Kart.
To play 'The Wind Waker HD':
With the HD has little to do. Certainly, we have smoothed the edges, spiced up a few wallpapers, but otherwise you get exactly the same graphics as on the good old Gamecube. Who has the game already, it does not need to buy new, low waste of money.
