I'm actually a SLR type (E500, E510, E30) and I ordered a PL-3 and thought "so in between you go without Viewfinder". In any recession I've read "without viewfinder hear the Fun with the PL-xxx soon", just as it was with me. To photographing with display in the blazing sun is no fun. So just looked after VF-1, VF-2, VF-3 VF-4 and compared. The different opinions about this made me very wuschig. So as always ordered in life by the Golden Mean and the VF-3. That part came druff so and tested right up my alley. The VF-1 was too easy, the VF-3 is enough for me completely in the resolution of. All necessary parameters can I show in the viewfinder. Display is bright, clear, sharp and color-fast (short adjusted the Cam, not a thing). The 90 degrees can be swiveled, is an additional big plus. I was not sure if the different zoom levels / lenses are displayed = works. For me it was the right decision and the part should once "go lost" in that does not quite so much. By the way the section is secure in the hot shoe. Of course, the entire construct (camera / viewfinder) is not as robust as with a real SLR, but I have the but not bought. At concerts (Punk and everything is fast and good) I always participating with my thickness E30, but will be at the earliest opportunity the PL-3 is also a chance, let's see.
