I waited impatiently, so I ordered this book two months in advance. On paper, it looked promising: Gus Hansen commenting on more than 329 hands that allowed him to win the Aussie Millions 2007, the famous Australian tournament. An analysis by the Emperor signed the Nordic aggressive style, that which promised interesting. And I was not disappointed! Hansen is surprisingly honest in his way of explaining his shots, detailing its strategy ... and even recognize his mistakes. This book reads like a novel. It begins quietly, with low blinds, then goes into high gear when the antes appear before taking unbridled rhythm when its author finally has a very big stack. Each hand, almost, brings its share of teaching on the reflections of the Danes, the motivations for his choices and his general conception of poker. Former champion backgammon, he shows a sharp mind ... and courage which explains his daring invraissemblables. So, of course, during the Aussie Millions 2007, he received several favorable draw and some real "lucky breaks". But his talent remains admirable. And his understanding of human nature and methods that exploit weaknesses. Anyway, the book can be read at your own pace: in one go or a hand from time to time. What is certain is that all players in No Limit Holdem - tournament or cash game - will need to read it. Especially since it is not very expensive. As for skeptics who innévitables refuse to believe that Hansen could be so candid, so the secrets of his success, I advise them to read doubling "Every Hand Revealed". The presentation style of play is extremely effective ... when it is handled by a genius of the game, internationally recognized. If you try to apply as is the revenue of Hansen in your games with friends, you might well setbacks. His system of intimidation widely indeed work on its reputation. Nevertheless, if your game lack of "pep", you will find something to put a tiger in your poker. Last note: English Hansen is within reach of a motivated player ...
