anticipate a short info:
My headset history assumes a Roccat Kave Solid 5.1, a Creative Sound Balster 3D Tactic Wrath, a Razer Kraken Pro and therefore now this HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset, so I'll draw from time to time comparisons. It is so far used on an internal RealTeck soundcard.
In addition: This review is of course purely subjective and grade at the sound of headphones / speakers, there are many different opinions.
In this sense, here is my opinion on the headset:
I would like to briefly discuss:
- Comfort
- Adjust the sound
- The shield
- The Processing
- The packaging
- Conclusion
The wearing comfort
The HyperX cloud sits with its 272g lightweight on the head. The padded headband and padded earcups strong fit with pleasant print head and disturb even the long wear the headset does not, by notice by weight.
Most significantly heavier headsets that I have mentioned, had their permission for their weight, but usually had a high contact pressure and / or caused by prolonged wear an unpleasant headache on the upper bearing surface of the bracket.
The microphone is in the correct position and stehts little conspicuous when worn, so that the feeling arises that friends in TeamSpeak or Skype sit directly in the room.
So much I like the fact that the headset is not charged and is easily portable with glasses.
The Sound
Here we are probably the most subjective area, because everyone hears differently known. In this respect I would like to encourage every reader himself to make a sound on the headset.
I can tell the tone that he comes very clearly over. When listening to music, the instruments come across clearly and the bass / treble ratio is balanced. (The Razer Kraken example puts more emphasis on bass) This ratio is probably not least caused by the closed earcups. Come further agree to precision and the positioning of sounds in games works as best they can with a stereo headset.
In addition, as already mentioned, the voices of friends and acquaintances from voice chats come across very clearly. Every word (if so marked) and of course it does not come to be mixed with music or game. Agree "reele" stand out clearly - that can be grade area crucial in gaming!
The shield
"In most cases, you want to set the tone in the ear canal and not distributed in space."
Or so the developers of HyperX cloud must have thought and the headset super shielded from the outside world. You get just enough with to hear the doorbell or the phone, but little enough that you do not have to attend meetings of roommates while trying to concentrate. Unfortunately, I can only guess that this headset also has its own noise insulates well, because of the pressure and the closed structure strongly suggest. In addition, 3D Blaster Tactical Wrath interlocutors complained to the half-open Razer Kraken and the Creative Sound far more than an echo of her voice, which, with the same audio setting is now passé.
The Processing
Smooth, brushed and Fluffig.
So I would summarize the processing of the headset. The ear cups and the strap are "fluffy" padded closet to wear. The ear cups are adorned with a brushed metal exterior. The microphone has a foam filter and the cable is coated very well shielded and with a kind of material. Very pleasant walk the components into each other and there is close to no sharp edges that could hurt in the heat of the moment. On the contrary: The headset cools subjective ears pleasantly through the metal casing!
The packaging
Goodie, goodie, goodie!
The elegant packaging that suggests to the purchaser directly, that it is something special in cardboard Kingston lands directly a direct hit in the area of my brain, which is responsible for consumption. While unpacking more and more anticipation ceased and there was a small expedition into the pretty large box to find everything was delivered with.
An extension of the cable, with remote control, an intermediate piece of microphone and headphones on headphones for use on mobile phones, a plug for the detachable microphone, a soft carrying case contained and leave the test drive against the headset immeasurably fast. Gladly I'm keeping this successful first impression and rejoice in it.
Conclusion
The headset is all tip. More can be to almost not say: It's easy, it offers a high degree of wearing comfort and is very flexible thanks to the detachable speaker-microphone and the supplied extension and the intermediate piece and can also convince as stereo headphones perfectly on Smartphone.
Only the rigidity of the bracket tarnishes somewhat the impression of otherwise very good headsets "HyperX cloud" and I highly recommend this headset to anyone who likes clear posterization. For everyone looking for an more bass-biased headset itself should perhaps look for a different headset. (Remember this is not: there is a built-in sound card to which the headset has been tested.)
