J''avais really want, and for a long time to discover the "what if" whose basic idea amuses me and I read it in a few hours and with great pleasure. I find it far more entertaining than reading a suite for the simple reason that everything stems from the desire here I think to have fun with the story and the characters.
The choice of the author concerning the history I have all seemed appropriate. They are not unlikely and are easy to envisage. How can you not believe in fact that Lizzy could sacrifice to save the honor of his family and give a chance to his sister to marry Bingley, how not believe Darcy was convinced that Lizzy loved or that entourage did not find normal to accept an application if advantageous. This is what takes us so easily and quickly in history. After I somewhat regret that all goes to Pemberley, with quite a few secondary characters. So, sometimes running in circles and end the "but I love you," "but it's not me," "but not you pretend but I love you," "but not I know you hate me now but I love you anyway "become extremely tiresome!
The other point that I did not like is that I struggled to recognize Elizabeth. I admit that a forced marriage would be enough to wither and change somewhat his temperament but this woman crying all the time fields and fled from the room where it is really too far from that Lizzy we love. Darcy and Georgina are different but also in general, every change of character or attitude is also well justified.
A final word to talk about hot scenes because I know some of you are fond and that others would prefer that there is none. Personally, I'm one second because I find it rather useless and that Jane Austen had me dreaming pretty well without even mentioning a kiss. But here, although present, they are not very numerous and well integrated into the life of the couple logic. It is far Darcy five girls who are overthrown by the first come prom night, if I can afford !!
