[Note: for the establishment of economy mode allows to have great autonomy, check my PS to the end. Thank you]
Finally when I say watch, I should say:
- Watch (with several displays)
- USB Flash 4GB (practice, we always self)
- MP3 player (Music) with 6 equalizers
- MP4 player (video) supplied with a converter
- Photo Player
- FM radio (with memory stations)
- Timer (Timer / Stopwatch)
- Dictaphone
- EBook Reader
- Ephemerides
And some utilities accessible from the watch here:
- File Explorer: Clicking it opens the file with the right tool, it is a good way to rank in directories.
- Settings (clock / display / language / economy mode / lockout duration / time format / selection / clock display calibration)
There is also the memory of the accessible shows from a PC:
- The good quality French-language manual (it is also provided in paper form but very small)
- A pair of in-ear headphones very good
- A removable clip base
- Mini small usb cord, easy to carry (no need to wrap)
- The video converter
- Examples of photos, video, music
The memory capacity of the shows I have is 4GB, here are the files in that capacity it would give an average for each category to choose from:
- Around 1300 songs or 65 hours of music ... (MP3 format)
- About 265 music videos or 14 hours of video ... (AMV format)
- 160 000 photos (JPG format)
It makes the world all that! ... You say it'll be a mess? But no ...
The product is well thought out. It has a menu for navigating:
* Either with the screen
* Either with a small lever has two positions and clickable.
And when selecting a section, was easily able daccéder options by sliding the screen. Really convenient, we made it fast.
The school has not been forgotten. The watch also easily keeps his classes or read books, or even news. Just drop the text file into memory and shows the fit for display. You will see your text displayed as pages of 8 lines with approximately 18 characters per line. I say "about" because the font used is not a system text font beast ... no, no, it's a beautiful font. Another plus: the watch stores a kind of bookmark ... If you were on page 8 when you open the book again you return to this page. And if you want to know your progress in the file, a small slider on the right shows your position.
You can really save many many many texts ... If we devote the entire watch memory to texts, it would ... on 4GB 4000000000 / (18x8) = 28 million screens ...
You can also put the shopping list (yes that one forgets all the time) or things to do or his schedule ...
And using the opportunity given by the visualization screens JPG, a teen may enhance its current illustrations. Suffice it to work its image by incorporating text and then reduce the image to 128x128 before copying it into the watch.
In each section, the options are all those one expects from a product like this. It really is very comprehensive.
Frankly a good gift for a teenager, a geek or geek.
This is not a smartwatch. But ultimately this is not so bad ...
There is no need to have a smartphone to use it, it can be used everywhere, it is not the same functionality and the screen is a little larger than the smartwatch 1.
Energy is well managed. If by mistake you watch active rubbing the lever, the screen locks and turns itself off. (Adjustable time)
Also on display there is a small battery indicator with 3 graduations to know the remaining charge.
There is also a possibility to modulate energy expenditure of the watch: it has indeed an economy mode that controls its total extinction after 2 to 30 minutes depending on your choice.
Mode "0 minute" or "no economy" lets all active time and in this case if you do not recharge via a USB connection, the watch will take a dozen hours. If you choose this method, remember to turn it off by pressing 3 seconds on the front lever to sleep as she sleeps. (Occasionally it will be performing a "Good Bye")
Personally I positioned on mode 2 minutes and the battery takes several weeks.
When off, on again by pressing 3 seconds and let the system supports all start about 10 seconds, it will ...
The reactivity of the screen is sufficient to this. Once the chosen option, we listen, we watch or read ... We no longer uses the responsiveness of the display and the lever is quite enough to navigate quickly. So the autonomy of the watch is very good. Moreover, having to leave your finger a quarter second to validate an option avoids making mistakes brushing against accidental screen.
Materially the watch comes with a clip to hang it everywhere. The clip can be de-clipped (also well thought out, it does not slip, there are of interlocking notches and it holds firmly but still helps to de-clip without breaking)
From a technical point of view:
- File transfers are done in USB2, so it is very fast. On my PC transfer of a 700 MB file takes less than two minutes. So very comfortable.
- The screen has a 128x128 definition on a screen of 2.6 cm square side, which gives diagonal 3,65cm.
The definition is the equivalent of a 1 smartwatch but it is larger than 1 smartwatch therefore more readable.
- It is possible to organize music files, video, ebook by folders / directories
- The first time, please charge the battery two hours to saturate the Lithium Ion cells.
And yes, I know it's hard but it's guaranteed to have a good battery. After this is much faster and nothing will force you to do full loads, it is one of advantage of Lithium Ion batteries. If you do not use it for a while, then charge before storing it and when you will come out the start with the load.
- Allow 45 minutes to an hour for a full charge.
CONCLUSION:
A good product, well thought out, very well done what is expected of him.
The manufacturer has a quality product, supplied accessories evidenced (eg in-ear headphones, mini usb cable, manual in French, storage box, removable clip base).
The operating system is ingenious, I particularly appreciate the economy mode which allows the battery to hold weeks. (Besides any usb connection allows the watch to recharge, it is really well thought out)
The watch is clearly oriented "Media" and less "Watch". So there is no alarm and no beep at the end of the countdown. One would expect a beep past but not in the headphones. It is a choice that ultimately prevents stress.
Normal for proceeds of relaxation!
PS: Setting up the economy mode
If you do not turn up this mode, the watch will have a much lower battery life (12 hours) to keep on the lookout for your slightest touch of the little lever.
This mode allows the economy shows séteindre completely according to a period of inactivity you select.
The only consideration is that when you want to switch it back, it takes 10 seconds to become operational.
Go to Settings then saving mode.
And then choose the number of minutes after which the watch will sarrêter when idle.
(From 2 to 30 minutes. If you choose 0 you disable this mode)
Personally I chose 2 minutes and it does not bother me to wait 10 seconds for it to light up and in return I get excellent battery life.
