Mario Kart, the king of Funracer is back. I have worried me the game in the Limited Edition incl. Blue tank and the Steelbook, both are neat products of charge, however, justified only for collectors. In addition, you followed the blue thing in the game as punishment for her the one in your shelf Extra like locks;) (just kidding).
Mario Kart 8 is a thoroughly enjoyable game, which is why only complain at a high level is possible. Of course, one must also look exactly the genre king on the tires.
One might criticize the battle mode, which this time no extra Arenas comes, for lovers of this Modes certainly a bitter loss, especially as routes for only four people in the local multi-player are just too big to get the items effectively around the ears to hew. For me personally rather a small but insignificant blemishes because after Bomb Battle of Mario Kart Double Dash of battle mode was personally rather irrelevant to me.
Probably the greatest objective criticism which one can express in Mario Kart 8, the modes poverty.
While the only other notable Funracer (Sonic and Sega: Allstars Racing Transformed) with a myriad of game modes features, Mario Kart 8 acts downright spartan. This is now not necessarily as bad, but only the most necessary was here really processed on modes. This is certainly also in some ways the enormous time pressure of developers, due to the general situation of the Wii U into debt, but is to be hoped that Nintendo is a heart touched and even one or the other modes Free ranges via DLC after.
I would note that these are the last remaining objectively assessable criticisms, there here and there, but of course small changes which can be purely subjective perceive as annoying. While the item use in direct comparison to Mario Kart Wii MMN. was designed fair, drop some small tricks which give away better players more advantages over inexperienced casual gamers. All this poised Mario Kart though excellent, but also reduces the gap between an experienced driver and a beginner.
This is of course complain as I said at a high level, Mario Kart takes place cleaner than pure that what it offers mastered it perfectly and considered purely objectively is in Mario Kart 8 well to the best ever game in the series, the graphics features from the first moment and the game runs as smooth as silk, regardless of whether one, two, three or even four players, so even SEGA's excellent Sonic & Sega: must enjoy Allstars Racing Transformed Marios taillights, although it undoubtedly offers more modes, remains the superior playability of a Mario Kart 8 unmatched.

Mario Kart 8 receives 2 DLC packs, each with 8 tracks, 4 cars and 3 characters ... their content is not limited to the Mario universe!
In the first DLC Tanuki Mario, Cat Peach and LINK will be included (from The Legend of Zelda), on vehicles has so far seen the Blue Falcon (F-Zero), moreover, there is a route to Excitebike series, and a Mute City ( F-Zero) course last but not least you can admire yet Wario's Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii. The routes are divided into a Yoshi Egg Cup and a Triforce Cup. The first Mario Kart 8 DLC pack released in November 2014 and will cost 8,00
Pictured to the second DLC the Villager (villagers), Isabelle included (both characters from Animal Crossing) and Dry Bowser, new karts can not recognize, however, an Animal Crossing ajar and a to the Lost Woods (The Legend of Zelda ) reminiscent route. The routes are divided into a New Leaf Cup (Animal Crossing) and a stone bell-Cup (Super Mario 3D World). The second DLC pack will be released in May 2015 and also costs 8.00

Both DLC packs are offered in a bundle for only 12.00 and are available now through Mario Kart 8 preorder, the colorful Yoshi & Shyguy can be used immediately.

* UPDATE (14/11/2014): Yesterday, the first DLC released for Mario Kart 8 and I have this course tested through its paces, the 8 new routes are largely well managed, the highlight is this course "Mute City" (F-Zero ) and the "Hyrule-piste" (Zelda) is what lead 8 Mario Kart in the vastness of the Nintendo universe. Also very successful are the two new routes "Arctic Circle trail" and the "Great Dragon Wall", in which the developers were able to give free rein to their creativity and created wonderfully twisted and long distances. The retro lines "Wario Goldmine" (Wii) and "Yoshi's runway" (GCN) see in HD, of course, fantastic, were also amended to the extent that they act from feeling as if they were ordinary Mario Kart 8 routes, connoisseurs of original route can be bothered by it if something here and there is different, but as generally the routes have been well implemented and modernized. Unfortunately ask for me personally "Excitebike Stadium" (Excitebike) and the "Rainbow Boulevard" (SNES) the low points of the routes are, of course, both are not bad but in itself would have the Excitebike stadium with more acceleration lane and a lap changing obstacles , as well as an anti-gravity curve significantly more exciting shapes can, so the track is unfortunately only a long-drawn baby-park with many, many stunt ramps ... respect. But enough bitching, especially if you often play with Mario Kart 8 friends or online, the 6 (or 8, but seriously, who buy only one of the DLC?) Money well spent, because routes for a racing game Mario Kart now even offer a tremendous value, it is nevertheless a pity that not all 100% at Nintendo was thought through.
But now to the Amiibo! and their function in Mario Kart 8 ... yes, what is there for a function? It can be unlocked costumes for Mii's! But just go to the last update to the services being Amiibo menu, hold down the figure on the NFC sensor and Schwups can with his Mii disguised as Mario, Link, Captain Falcon, Samus, Kirby, Fox and co. flit across the track, but somewhere also unnecessary and no real reason to buy heaps of a cute feature Amiibo.
For me, it is in any event only once in a Mario Amiibo for Smash Bros. But psst)
A similarly uninspired function have Amiibo indeed in Hyrule Warriors, but this is a separate issue and one must also look somehow Nintendo, since the games have appeared before the Amiibo, one could not expect all too much in this respect.
