I have the EF 1.4 / 50 acquired a few years (since 2011) and then newly in the German retailer. The corresponding lens hood was also ordered in the original so. In my possession 7 Canon lenses and the EF 1.4 / 50 I use with most. The other day I only took pictures from a baptism again so. In the church Blende1,4 is a blessing. It arise crisp sharp images with a nice bokeh. Even the pupils in persons are very sharp. Maybe I'm lucky with my copy, but a front or back focus I could not tell. Also the auto focus makes the point quickly. On my EOS 100D and 700D, it gives a nice Poträtobjektiv. The particle is nicely compact and lightweight. There are certainly 50, which are better processed, eg the Zeiss. However, the turn has no autofocus and is quite expensive. So the objective is worth the money.
