The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II [EA Value Games] not for Win 7

The DVD I bought because I wanted to play the game after a long break again - on my newly purchased computer (Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series).
I still had the original CDs, manuals, and serial number.
To make a long story short, I was unable to install on my new computer it - install actually already - but it refused to start by pointing out that the original CD to be inserted. The was but in the drive. Now I thought the CD is because it already a few years under your belt has broken and so I decided, again zuzulegen the Value Edition.
Was unfortunately in vain, even after intensive Help Search the internet I found no solution possible to the game to run to bring. In various forums there were different statements Some brought it not to run other. I am, unfortunately, to others
(Since helped no Kombatibillitätseinstellung); for a real XP mode of Windows 7 at least the proffessionell edition one would have to define (ca 190) -the but is me then too perhaps
