The man who the R & B brought back the Soul

It could have been warned. The 2011 published Frank Ocean EP "Nostalgia.Ultra" was already a wonderful taste of what this guy really has it. Who would have thought that the "Odd Future" has such a talented soul singer at the start. "Nova Caine" was by far my personal favorite song in 2011. "Nostalgia.Ultra" I wochenalnag up and down part. Unfortunately, the predecessor went to "channel ORANGE" in Germany, apart from the diehard connoisseurs of West Coast-Soul scene once completely under. Not even in the Amazon plate is available. But for that then hit "channel ORANGE" a sudden like a bomb. Recently ran "Lost" even the radio at SWR3!

Has earned Frank Ocean this huge success all. With "Channel Orange" He has the R & B finally returned to the Soul. What were but for times when in the 70's bands like the "Delfonics" with songs like "Did not I blow your mind this time?" this wonderfully soft Philly sound created or "Bobby Womack" life in the Bronx sang ("Across 110th Street"). Quentin Tarantino has made this sound in the late 90's with his film "Jackie Brown" temporarily popular again. The modern R & B had however already closer to the much more hip "Hip Hop" and above almost completely forgotten his own roots in the "Black Soul".

Frank Ocean has set out to stop this development and "channel ORANGE" is in this way a real milestone, the one will be back remember. This man has great before, that's for sure and we will get from it in the future to hear some.
