The memory card comparison test

I have a 5D Mark III. My experience gained thus refer to the Canon model.

Lexar Professional 800x 32GB CF UMDA 7 (120MB / s *)
SanDisk Extreme SDHC 32GB Class 10 (30MB / s *)

I see here 2 Compackt Flash card and a SD card with different speed.
But not to make the two slower cards badly, but to show how much% the 1000x CF card is better.
At the 5D Mark 3 of SD slot is slower than the CF slot. Therefore, the purchase of a fast CF card for the 5D Mark III is especially worthwhile.

The highlight of the whole thing is also that you do not wait the full 6.73 sec. Have to make again a sensible Series, if you do not exhausts the full 20 pictures you can still during bufferns after 2 seconds again without problems 6-7 shoot images in series. When SD card went to the same time just 1 to 2 continuous shots.

Now the Lexar 1000x

There are 35 incredible images that are approximately 6 sec sustained fire !!!
But after she shoots still 2-3 frames per second!

The Lexar 1000x is thus the clear winner and the more price absolutely worth it!
Especially for sports and action, where it has to be fast and a lot happens that is the Oberhammer. Only with this card the 5D Mark III is finally become a real allround cam. Previously, she was just too complacent in buffers, as they would be held for Action.
Why do they now only 13 RAW / s bildseire me as the best possible in the viewfinder displays is beyond me?

I think each Cam benefits from a faster memory card of any kind.
