I wanted to build a high-performance AC-Fi.
But in Germany is in the 5 GHz range only channel 36 with HT80 available (for up to 1300 Mbit / s). So all access points must be running on this channel, which leads to mutual interference and lack of throughput.
Individually, they work great - with an Intel 7260 ac and two antennas in laptop I get to 866 Mbit / s data throughput. But the composite of 10 access points does not work more because you would have to switch to other channels.
So great for home - but since you can also a cheaper W724V or ne Fritz box! stand.
For scenarios where you want to use the software controller - in Europe not recommended - in Brazil we must use more channels.
