The choice for the new product but I noticed this time is not easy.
At issue were for me:
Panasonic DZ31
Sony DSC HX10
Sony DSC HX20
Casio EX ZR200
I have intensively with all models busy as I always do that when I anschaffe me something "more expensive".
In short, all have (as in life so often is) their pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses.
Art is always the rauszuholen optimal for themselves.
I've tested them all physically extensively and at the end the choice was clear to me - the DSC HX10 should be.
Why?
Here the criteria (I do not go to everything but only one of the essential things for me or to the respective camera-specific features. For detailed information, there are already plenty of detailed reviews)
Panasonic:
As usual, strong image quality - I do not presume to me to be able festellen a possible marginal difference to Sony. Here enter the definitely not much.
Touchscreen: If you like it rumzutatschen on display ... for me a completely superfluous feature even if you (surely everyone knows not) can tell by finger touch, which point to focus.
Is ne gimmick - I'd say, with the focus put the benefits all the day needs no man.
Video is great - but can not compete with Sony (More about it in the Sony criteria)
Sony HX 10:
Image quality lace. Almost all the images succeed greatly joylessness my little daughter now can rumhüpfen as much as they want - I have (almost) always get caught.
Video: Unbelievable. Otherwise I can not describe it. Power the camcorder for the average Joe consumer superior level absolutely necessary. I do not know how to describe it expertly perfect, but when you press the Video button and the recording starts, the camera turns somehow virtually impossible in a "smooth-mode" of the camera shake makes ie when the camera (for example, his fleeing daughter moved following), pivots or zooms happens all very smooth, it makes a very professional impression - not so as herkömml. Cameras where every little movement during video recording to shake what leads eventually tired later while watching the film.
Background blur: Can else as far as I know, no. Portrait mode, object razor sharp, background slightly blurred. May I really like this kind of shooting, another clear pro-criterion.
Rate: Not optimum but totally adequate.
Sony HX20
actually unnecessary upgrade. The money you can save if you the difference betw. 16 times and 20x optical zoom can handle.
Although I see an advantage in the HX10 even for me with the 16X, selbiger begintn namely with the slightly better wide-angle 24 during the HX20 at 25 starts, it just has the larger telephoto. But hot I almost never. I'm in 99% of cases, more shots where I actually like on the picture would get (eg in front of a church or so) to see as a mosquito from 100m in the left eye even more.
The second "plus" the HX20 is the 50Bilder per second in video instead of 25 ... I do not need, the difference can hardly see a person and only costs more memory.
Casio:
In all categories far behind Pana and Sony EXCEPT speed and breathtaking Serienbildaunahme of I think 30 shots per second where you can follow the case of the water droplet wonderful ...
but the speed is incredible. Virtually no shutter lag, the zoom is racing formally immediate image after taking a picture possible without noticeable delay ...
However, you can already see some of the shortcomings in the quality of the rotation quickly shot shots. So is not gold that glitters, but still impressive.
But speed is not everything and the other two are just too powerful to let be displaced by this argument around.
GPS can all - I need just as 3D.War the first thing I've turned off - saves power.
In short: As a loyal customer, I had the Panasonic brand, this time turning their backs because for me this time Sony had simply fit their features.
Negative is merely that one must charge the battery in the camera, so do the same to me for cast. 16 od 17 EUR a 2.Battery and charging cradle worried here about Amazon.
Edit [6.7.2012]: Additional info by now about 6 weeks use: The battery is madness. Had I known that before and would not have been too hasty, I would have bought me a replacement battery (and charger). I have to say that I have notes and GPS disabled. Thus, the battery has capacity for hundreds of photos / videos. I have a holiday almost every day at least. 50 photographs and some videos made) and the battery charged more than 3 times in two weeks. So without having "measured" Strictly speaking, I can definitely say that any of my previous cameras a similarly formidable battery life was like the Sony. [Edit End]
