Juliet Ashton, English writer who held a topic during the years of the Second World War, became friends with a resident of Guernsey who taught him the existence of a literary circle in his little island. The story holds that the creation of said circle is less a palatability of these members for literature that fear of German occupation in these very uncertain times. Therefore, the writer will fall in love with each of these members (or so), and will eventually be on site to better share the life and experience of these islanders as original as touching. And so this is how dozens of letters and telegrams will give rise to a novel touching, fun and at times very funny. A pleasure to read and share.
