Was unsure whether I should buy the slightly shopworn WD TV Live or prefer a newer fast Android based media player. At the end I am but opted for the WD TV, because this is all about me only to local videos. He is to access via the WLAN on my external hard drive to the router and play the media files. That works well without that I had to configure anything! The whole interface of the device is very intuitive and easy to use. I've tested so far only 3 videos but he has all played without any problems. The transmission speed via WiFi is about 3-4 MB / S. This should for so pretty all videos that can play the player rich, but I convert everything anyway in 720p as only 32 "TV.
Initial Conclusion: If the appliance, like me, just want to play videos use for it is a great thing. Who, Browsing, YouTube, Facebook, or want to make others, should inform the fingers and let appliance prefer to grab Android.
