I bought converter for both directions in order to operate on my iMac via the optical input and output devices to which only one coaxial input or output have (of which there are still more than enough). This converter is serving to my mother, where is no other optical input more available through a device switch the hi-fi system. Through the converter of newly purchased Blu-Ray player won connect with the AV receiver. The device is working properly, need little power, making it suitable for continuous operation. The device is already in use for several months now and I can only recommend this converter.
