The Navi does its job for the price passable. Every now and then it will lose the receipt or restarts itself. But that happens rarely. In this respect, I could actually be happy - BUT:
There is a street in Hamburg at fixed times change direction twice a day - the Sierichstrasse.
The name entered in a Navi is not a problem. The correct time can get the device from the satellites.
TomTom has, however, decided not to inform the device so that you become a ghost rider quickly and may cause fatal accidents. So it would be almost happened to me. Only because I knew the road and did not completely rely on the device, I have not become the wrong-way driver. The Navi wanted to navigate into oncoming traffic. Non-local and inattentive driver can quickly cause a serious accident.
Of course, the driver should be careful and just left not only the Navi. The reality, however, shows that often is not the case. A Navi must know the correct direction of travel. Even if they are changed several times a day. Ds is also possible. TomTom only needs to spend some money for programming.
Even if the device could not know the correct direction, so it would be no problem at least issue a warning - in the sense of "Caution: Pay attention to the direction of travel" or "Warning: danger point" etc. Nothing happens derlgeichen.
Here is the problem for many years known (google search "Sierichstr Navi") and TomTom has done nothing. Other manufacturers (not all) have solved the problem.
A manufacturer of such a problem does not solve, or at least warn the driver has died for me. Such an error can be done. But not to fix it for years is grossly negligent. The fact that the Sierichstr is a special case, not the problem into perspective. When in doubt, here are risking life just because a company is too ignorant to fix the error in no time. This is for me also the overall quality of products or cards in question.
Update:
A few days ago I have the latest update imported directly from TomTom. Nevertheless, the following problems with a day trip have occurred:
- A road which obviously for a long time no longer exists, was recommended. I found myself in the middle of a meadow again.
- A bridge that existed long, the device does not know.
- Blocking is regularly and conditioned by time was, the device is unknown.
- The device was left micht can turn even though that's since I can remember clearly prohibited at this point! This can be really dangerous.

- I have TomTom weeks ago of the problems with the Sierichstr reported (has been known for years). Quick came back a friendly mail. The error was corrected but not in any way.
An absolute disaster! Updated TomTom at all their cards? Obviously many errors are not corrected and even if you as a customer TomTom provides the information. What should I do with a device indicating that my false and dangerous information? Still no manufacturer has failed so comprehensively.
Update 2:
- It will be even worse. On a trip from Hamburg to Leipzig numerous errors occurred. The unit was about to leave again leave the motorway even though I was still more than 150 kilometers from the target. There were no traffic jam and it was also reported no traffic jams. The errors mentioned above have not been corrected. I can not imagine a scenario in which the equipment would even begin einsätzbar.
