The Logitech keyboard with German keyboard layout can be used perfectly, the pressure points and the distances between the keys are perfect for writing with 10-finger system. For me, with my big hands. The impact noises are clearly heard, yet not noisy. Operation with rechargeable batteries is also not a problem as I have from the beginning, the batteries supplied and used eneloop batteries. How long this run, I will if necessary. Still grudge.
In addition, the iOS the iPad provides the keyboard additional features that are not possible using the onscreen keyboard:
- CURSOR KEYS !!
- Alt + Backspace = delete a whole word
- Delete cmd + backspace = whole row
- Alt + cursor keys = cursor back one word in front of /
Jumping ctrl or cmd + cursor keys = cursor to the line start / end -
- Special keys (loud / quiet, play / pause / forward / rewind, etc.)
Text = Select Shift + cursor keys -
- Cmd + x / c / v / z = Cut / Copy / Paste / Undo
- Special characters using the Alt key (¡'¶ ¢ [] | {}' '' '' '' 'ø''å' '' ªº '@ œæ ¥' C '' ~ μ '' ')
The only thing I miss on the keyboard is the Delete key. I have no keyboard shortcut found that emulates.
The Caps Lock key has a status LED, which I would have also desired as a power indicator. The Battery LED goes out, after the keyboard has been coupled with the iPad and is accordingly not indicate that the keyboard is still turned on. Then you could ever forget that the keyboard is still turned on. I've been on the Logitech corporate Web site found no evidence that this function may somehow activate.
The keyboard seems to be really suitable only for Apple products. A pairing experiment with my Android Motorola Defy wanted me not succeed after several attempts.
The case is in my opinion a thoughtful thing, not just storage but also a stand for iPad's. This is vertically and transversely. The flaps are held together with small, powerful magnets and make no cheap impression.
All in all the keyboard is to recommend to the lack of power LED. I have written this recession so and can determine from the feel no difference compared to a notebook keyboard. I've only been thinking whether I should buy the Logitech keyboard with the keyboard case, have me but decided otherwise, because soon the successor to the iPad 2 comes on the market and I am sure with this keyboard, it also the new pad, should I put it down to me, is fit.
