The solid album from Pink Floyd

Equally ahead, I'm not Floydianer and albums like "Dark Side Of The Moon" or "Wish You Were Here" and "The Wall" find me no, or only little support! On the other hand, I find the early albums such as "Ummagumma", "More" and "Atom Heart Mother" absolutely awesome! Now, when I look at the back catalog of the band so, remains for me the album "Animals" liable. The sound and the melodies have little to do with the Floyds the past, however, this album has an intensity that one would expect from Pink Floyd. The sound is rough and partly brittle and much less hot as usual. A little sad, dark excitement and atmosphere pervades the whole album, but that never slips into real darkness. There are times when I hear this and only this record. For whatever reason? It is a very nice album for rainy, cloudy day. The dark tensions and moods of the songs let me again and again sink into dreams. Especially the soft instrumental part of "Dogs" has a little hypnotic. Fortunately, can be found on "Animals" no filler. After my opinion, it is probably the roundest album of the band. It has one for the then usual, pleasant Total Time (A good album should not be with me too long with some exceptions). The overlong songs seem not long-winded, but durable. Even the cover of the album is one of the most striking in the career of "Pink Floyd". It reflects the mood of "Animals" perfect again, so should be!
Admittedly, at first I could start with "Animals" not much, because my songs and the sound sounded somehow too flat. After some time and after many runs, it has then grabbed me tremendously! This bulky Klotz developed me into a perennial favorite. Before auditioning should however all other Floyd albums released from the ear canal, in order to give a chance to this work! It is a magical good album, of which the latest works by other artists can learn a properly thick slice it! You have to "Animals" does not describe as the best album of the band, but it has what it takes! A fascinating work!
