The successor to the G15, the G19 is a first class product from Logitech

I try to write as much as possible about the G19.
I have now been almost 3 weeks Logitech G19.
I bought it for just under 140 at Amazon, and so far no regrets having bought such an expensive keyboard.

Processing:
The keyboard is very high quality and also iDial suitable for office use, it has a very soft and light touch.
Keys:
The Logitech G19 keyboard has the usual buttons, in addition it has:
- 12 G-keys
- Three M-keys (bringing the G-keys let occupy 3 compartment)
- MR-button (for recording macros sg)
- 5 keys for the LCD display (if one counts all the cursor keys 8)
- 4 multimedia keys
- Volume wheel
- A slider for the deactivation of the Windows key
- A button for light on / off (display & LED)
- A key for sound on / off
The G-keys are keyboard programmable, where you can place orders, programs, websites or the like.
This can for example very quickly followed by the MR-button of the desired G-key programming itself, for example, with a text.
If programs or web pages to be opened in order, so you can easily adjust this with the supplied software.

The display:

For the G15, there are a whole host of useful tools but these are usually one color, for the G19 there are not so many applets, since the keyboard is indeed still quite new.

All the normal G-keys keys incl. Can be easily be removed with a light lever movement with a screwdriver to this or the keyboard easier to be clean.
In addition, the keys have a nice tactile feedback. So all this just to press is also suitable for prolific writer.
Unfortunately, the G-keys are much closer to the normal keys, this was much better at the G15.
Similarly, the buttons are a little closer, here the G15 had a plus point, but this is all a matter of course and here possible care has been taken that it fits on a pull-out keyboard shelf at a desk.

Software:
the included Logitech G19 software, you can easily adjust. you can also download the latest version for getting under the website of Logitech.
One can also, iff you're players who 3x18 G-keys independently for the show one game for each Games.
So you have 3x18 G-keys for each game, as well as for working under Windows. However, one should be careful that you will not lose track of this mass.

LEDs:
you have all keys a background lighting, this program can be changed individually in Logitech. So it is possible to have all the buttons of red, blue, yellow or whatever light. Likewise, it is possible to enter three different colors, each for one M-key.
The LEDs are now represented in contrast to the much brighter and G15 in each color.
Other:
at the top of the keyboard are also 2 USB ports (from the display on the right) where you can, for example, mouse, headset, webcam or similar connection, thereby will now supplies the keyboard with power, it is no matter how much power do the devices, This was also a drawback of the G15.
On the bottom of the keyboard are also incorporated cable channels, where you can then lead eg his headset through so this is not just have to walk across the desk, Unfortunately, these are possibly too tight, I have there my G35 headset in there and get the cable only lightly pressed, because here is some wiggle room. Could other cables look better because the G35 has a fairly thick cable.

- G-keys to close at the normal keyboard
- Glossy display
Neutral:
- I have a few known cases (g15-applets.de) like me, had a grease smear on the on / off switch for LED / display, this can be very easily removed with a moist cloth!
- Buttons narrower than G15 (I find worse, but have less room for other positive!)

Positives:

- Clear display
- Custom color adjustment of the backlight
All in one is the Logitech G19 is a top-quality product, but with a relatively high price.
Nevertheless, I would buy the G19 at any time.
