After bad experiences with cheap replacement batteries from unnamed manufacturers I wanted a battery that lasts longer than a few months and also the approximate performance of the original renders this time.
Since I did not want to pay the exorbitant price of the complete original batteries of Canon (about 40), I opted for the quite positive Weiss battery, whose technology was still being developed in Germany to.
The sheer quality packaging and the attractive design have pleasantly surprised me. If now the "inner" voices values, I thought, then the whole thing has been worthwhile. Moreover, at a price which is almost half of the original.
After some time in use, I have to say that I was so far not disappointed with the purchase. Unlike cheap batteries that conk most early, the white battery runs without problems. Also it is after many charging operations (according to the manufacturer at least 500 charging cycles before it starts to weaken) still fully functional and has not yet subsided. The manufacturer / seller, stating that here quality cells are used therefore are not just empty marketing babble.
I've been using the battery now in duplicate in the Delamax Battery Grip for the Canon EOS 550D and can only say that you realize the circa 25% more power than the original battery (1420mAh against 1120mAh) definitely. I believe it has already been mentioned in a previous review that the white battery at the 60 images can be made - I can only agree, even almost more (depending on which settings will be photographed).
For the white battery as a replacement for the Canon LP-E8 my part so a clear buy recommendation is to speak to anyone who is looking for a good replacement battery for his Canon EOS 550D or 600D.
