The One X comes in a white packaging in an egg box design with the usual facilities (charging adapter, USB cable, headphones, various manuals) and additionally with a small "SIM card recast thing" as we know it from the iPhone. Here also falls for the first time that the back can not be opened -> battery permanently installed, the only connection is the microUSB port, accordingly looks's with SD cards also bad.
Visually, it looks very chic (own the gray version) and consists of a polycarbonate unibody, in good German simple plastic, but due to the good processing you can tell with the naked eye whether it is plastic or aluminum. It is also comfortable to hold, and despite its size, it is also quite easy.
Installed Android 4.0.3 and can really be seen, it jerky absolutely not at all in spite of HTC Sense and runs smoothly, thanks to the Tegra 3 quad-core. As usual with HTC Sense is here again drübergelegt, this time in version 4.0. I had some time ago already Desire HD and in contrast, sense but embellished a lot and has now clearly minimalist than before, which I think is better. Who looks at the back, also sees the Beats Audio imprint and this of course is not a gimmick, with the software also includes still the Beats sound enhancer, which can be in music playback on and off notification bar and improve the sound considerably and the least is also compatible with other radio apps and music players from the store, so is not limited to the default player.
For processor: it bothers me, however, always referred to as computing wonder that the Tegra 3 is although the S3 with its 4-Kerner already is often faster than the One X while Nvidia processor still cheered with its adjusted THD games that often but also are coated with multiple effects and are on any other phone available in. The opposite is the non-optimized games bucking despite the quad still looks here times in the direction of GTA 3. Disturbing also the heat generation of the Tegra 3. The graphics-intensive games generate ever sweaty hands, because the One X but partially is really warm to very hot, especially in the area of the camera. It should be noted yet that the One X may not be loaded at the same time and used to play, because it then but is extremely hot and after a short time already the small LED starts to flash and to charge the device stops.
The One X but convinces through its display 4.7 '' big Super LCD with a high resolution of 1280x720 and a pixel density of 312 ppi, it can be measured in any case with the Retina display of the iPhone.
On the camera, however, there is little to complain about anything, standard 8 megapixel photos and good, but the camera app is very well done, the shutter is very fast and can do so in succession several shots. A handy thing is that you can record both images and videos in the same app, there is a button for pictures and videos.
The battery life is (unfortunately) not more than the smartphone average, more than one day with normal use is not in there, playing naturally even less.
