Story:
I think each of The Walking Dead knows knows that there is no security in this world. Nowhere. For anyone. At any time. For this reason, the action is always unpredictable and exciting. From my perspective, it is also the story, which is responsible for the rating, because this is very emotional, partly. Really hard and goes right to the kidney ... both figuratively and literally!
Characters:
The characters are the strength of the game. But this is something from the series. They are deep and come across very credibly. Each player will probably have his own favorites, which you should never forget: No one is safe! But especially the connection between Lee and Clem is a real to the heart!
Gameplay:
Reminds a little bit of Heavy Rain. The Walking Dead is (thank God) no shooting game! Although the action is far too short, but the freedom of movement is restricted and it is primarily all about the choices that you meet (both in action, as well as in the dialogues). The player's decisions have no small impact on how it goes on in the game.
Graphics:
As for this cartoon graphics, I'm always a bit skeptical. This particular form of graphics must fit into a game. In The Walking Dead, it fits perfectly! More one must not say.
Annoying:
At least on the PS3 hack the game in between (and particularly like at crucial moments) massively! The tone continues, the game goes on, only cursor and image depend totally. You do not know what happened, how it happened and are lucky if you even still learns that something has happened. Yes, the game has to calculate the impact of decisions made, but not always exactly when it will be exciting and fast reactions are required! To this end, each 1 point deduction in total and in gameplay.
End (SPOILER WARNING !!!):
Some hard-boiled players get here the howling and I would have the sad ending like surrendered, but was much too acidic. It is working on this relationship and allows Lee to Clem's tower of strength in order for them not only their parents zombie looks, but also Lee loses? Yes, that the two can not ride hand in hand on the beach of Savannah in the sunset is clear, but that's me just a bit too bleak! Would have been Clem forced eg to kill their zombie father and then to redeem their downed Mother before she flees with Lee, okay. But not so. This end and then pretty depressing clip with Clem in the field has verhagelt me the fun really! For 1 point deduction for fun.
Conclusion: a super game in which everything fits ... which is, however, technically (at least in the PS3) should run smoother and the spoiler-point ... the needs of each judge for themselves.
