LG has left with his second SmartWatch a little more time and in my eyes from mistakes made the Motorola "Moto360" has learned. Yes I'm a little SmartWatch Junky added. I actually had all, since there are smartwatches ... and the LG G Watch R is the first clock which disappointed me after a few hours, as the Moto360 example!
What makes the LG clock better than the rest?
Compared to the Moto 360 (which is probably compared most common):
+++ The clock is really about! No black, unsightly beams (plates) on the bottom of the display
+++ The battery actually holds a day (and more) and not crying already by 18 clock to the charger when you are unlucky
++ Display is smaller, but sharper and thus better
+++ Again display on the screen is always a time to read, not only when you look specifically plan
+ Display is brighter than other watches
+ Bracelet is easier to change (as a loan)
..to name only the advantages over the Moto 360.
Again the display, the resolution is indeed identical to the Moto360, but thereby the screen is smaller, it has more pixels on the same space, the display will be sharper. The LG clock has an OLED display, this can be targeted only certain points / areas illuminate without illuminate the entire display. Blacks do not consume energy, so you can illuminate the clock permanently and achieve a better battery life anyway. Also black levels are better / rich in contrast by better technology.
The battery life is the big problem of current Smart Watches, here make the LG a good step forward and is therefore in my eyes today the best SmartWatch in the market.
Visually, I find it even better than the glossy pictures in kind.
Let's talk about the disadvantages.
- Sorry, no language possible as feedback from the clock, such as the Samsung Galaxy Gear series, but unfortunately this does not provide Android Wear clock
- But it is easier to change leather strap is not quite as high (thick) as of other watches (Moto360)
- No light sensor. Brightness may need to be adjusted manually. The brightness of the LG clock but higher than in many other watches.
Should I even noticed other flaws, I will adjust this review of course!
In summary, the LG G Watch R is the best choice, because you are not like other watches with an increasingly dark display comes along (except for the Sony SmartWatch 3). The LG clock looks really like a clock, for me a very important point, no "dead" to have black glass on the wrist. At a clock now heard even a dial or pointer?
