The Amazon refused with the following text: "For security reasons, items, batteries or flammable liquids or gases are used for their operation or which are classified as dangerous goods, not be returned to Amazon.com."
Well, that part is already igniting when you throw it into the fire :-) But gases? And dangerous? After all, it was indeed in a normal book packaging, insofar would then also of road transport by Amazon without an approved hazardous goods packaging ahnbarer a violation of law.
This is true then probably to the entire electronics division of Amazon, because batteries are probably anywhere in it.
Either a classification error of Amazon or a new scam, but in any case clearly an ineffective clause. Let's see what I'll do.
Addendum:
Telephone Comment from Amazon customer service: The Return denial have "other reasons" and was "not dangerous". Amazon wants me to credit the amount and the defective unit is disposed of.
