Positive ++++ ++++
* Sram is cheaper than Garmin,
* It performs almost the same function,
* It also seems solid. The counter does not vibrate.
* The finish, though a little bit down compared to the Garmin, is very correct. No protruding part or hurtful,
* On the hanger, the binding is strong and does not slip,
* It is a few grams lighter than the Garmin (which makes sense since it does not have an adjustable head unlike the Garmin).
Negative ---- ----
* It is designed for 31.8mm hanger section. There is no rubber reducer. But with a tube or PVC, I suppose that DIY is possible. Having an oversized handlebar, I have no problem. (Note: The Garmin has section reducers supplied).
* The fixing screw has a clamping from below. It's a little less convenient than the Garmin who above. But this is not essential, we do not make a tightening (or check) per year.
* For the screw, you need a Torx screwdriver (which is not part of the paraphernalia in the bag that one takes when walking). On the Garmin is an Allen key which, moreover, is provided.
* It is not possible to change the orientation of the counter attached to it. For the Edge series, it is not important is vertical, but I understand that some Garmin counters are fixed horizontally (not possible on this SRAM). Garmin bracket allows to rotate the counter of the fastening system.
.
In conclusion:
* For my Edge and oversize handlebar bike, I do not regret this media
