The color display is easy to read, easy to operate, much can be explained on the menu by itself. Even without a detailed study of the instructions I was able immediately to save names / phone numbers. Pro eingebenem name three phone numbers can be stored, to enter the name on the keyboard is a little awkward, but straight forward. What bothered me here, is that the name should not be too long, with double-barreled name or company name + contact space is not enough sometimes.
Incoming callers have been stored, be reported by telephone acoustically and with quite pleasant computer voice. "Call from" XYZ "is no entry stored, the phone no is announced can thus be, for example, unwanted telemarketing calls filtering. (or annoying acquaintances, mothers ....). It is also possible to terminate individual tel numbers / codes or calls at certain times (night mode). Missed calls are shown on the display with an icon and then leave on the See relevant list.
There are also plenty of choice of polyphonic ring tones (30 pieces), but we found that almost all pretty awful ("Ode to Joy" as a pop rock version, a few well-known classical pieces and the usual jingle and beeping in Heimorgel sound).
The integrated answering machine is just as easy to operate as the phone and combines max. 64 calls and has 40 min. Recording time and a good sound.
The additional handset has (apart from the answering machine) almost the same functions as the base station, it can store up to 100 numbers / names in the phone book and it has the same creepy ringtones.
In order that the phones are not confused, you can give them a name (living room, up / down etc.), which will then be displayed permanently on the screen.
Internal calls to / connect naturally goes well and the answering machine can listen via speakerphone on the handset. If new messages are there, an icon appears on the display when the answering machine is not in range (as with us - one floor up) is super convenient.
The Panasonic KX-TG8562 is also available in other colors (we like the black is best) and as a single version (with answering machine KX-TG8561) and Trio Version (KX-TG8563). There can be max. 6 handsets connect (Type KX-TGA855EXR / EXW / EXB).
Anyway, I'm very pleased with the Panasonic cordless phone, it is energy saving, the battery lasts a long time and it may be all there is.
