This is my first dance shoes so no comparison. I use them to zumba and salsa and frankly I'm delighted. For information I gained 38.5 to view comments on the waist as I make 37. I think 38 would also have been but that's okay. There was a concern in delivery, the French platform was not standardized postal code yet grasped by the sender. So the package to put more than 2 weeks but a customer service available and very responsive.
