I bought the processor, because I record Lets Plays and 1 more power during recording brings (as I also still recording directly just in time compress) and 2. renders faster with MeGUI. I take on all games in full HD and render it in 720p, because of my bad Internet connection. Depending Videomaterialkomplexizität I render either almost 1: 1 or 1: 2 ie one minute video = 1 minute rendering time. All in all I am very satisfied.
Of course, the boxed cooler is the largest waste and it is still a mystery to me why AMD still offers such cheap bombers. Anyway, you should, if you this processor, or better still generally an AMD processor, buying, also equal to buy a new cooler. With my FX6100 I have a Zalman 7X used because it didnt fit in my former housing and yet was very quiet and had a good cooling performance. Now I use a Dark Rock Pro 2 from BeQuiet and achieved 8350 a maximum of 41 degrees under full load of 8 cores (when rendering and tested with Prime95). So if you are looking for a cheap and good processor, wonderfully stylish new flagship AMD. However, 8 cores only make sense if one does a lot of rendering, because otherwise, as a rule, the 4 or max. 6 core range sufficient. However, take care that your motherboard supports the latest 8 core CPUs from AMD and possibly a firmware update is not sufficient. I run this processor on a Asrock 970 Extreme3 and am very satisfied as mentioned.
From my side definitely a buy recommendation.
