I wear the shoe for about 3 months as a post-sequel to the rather disappointing slippers Josef Seibel Schuhfabrik GmbH Warne 14624 944 876 men's casual slippers. The interim "Hush Puppies" held only one summer (very thin sole).
Here is a short interim conclusion to "Rieker":
Pro:
+ Very good fit and comfortable to wear
+ Imitation leather of the face material is relatively breathable (no worse than genuine leather) and require little maintenance (I do not use shoe polish)
+ Thick sole (as yet, no customary with me sole fracture)
+ Good workmanship
+ Beautiful vintage design and color ("Tobacco")
+ Reasonable price
Cons:
- Sole (plastic instead of rubber) despite rough profile is not particularly easy to grip or slippery (especially on ice and snow)
- The decorative stitching on the surface dissolve both sides in the rolling of the toe joints (wear?).
So far I am satisfied with the shoes. Even wet and slush they seem quite good to defy (less than soaking in genuine leather shoes).
Let's see how long hold out the sole.
--- Update 12/02/2014 ---
Unfortunately, I once again unlucky with shoes:
In the right shoe, the insole has (glued, not inserted) are solved and a view of the interior of the shoe-free (cavities). The sole wrinkled with each donning a bit more; the numerous kinks press on the foot.
Therefore, correction of 4 to 3 stars.
